Share Your Access to Care Stories for U.S. Legislators to Watch during Obesity Care Week, March 1st – 7th
What are your experiences around access to care as it relates to obesity? Send in your personal video story and get the opportunity to share with U.S. legislators!
The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) and other advocacy groups will visit Capitol Hill throughout Obesity Care Week, March 1st – 7th, to urge members of Congress to support the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act. Your access to care video story can humanize the journey with obesity and strengthen our message!
Please Note: Ideal videos are between 30 seconds and five minutes long so that legislators have time to watch them!
Examples of what to share:
- A time when you or someone else were unable to access treatment to help with weight management
- A time when your weight affected the quality of care you received or the treatment options that were available to you
- Triumphs you have had in accessing care/treatment that helped you
- What you would like legislators to know about the disease of obesity, treatment, stigma, and other issues
